GICLEE PRINTS
Giclee prints are a recent technical advance that enables artists to make accurate and relatively inexpensive reproductions of two-dimensional works. Since the original or master copy is a digital file, unlimited numbers of prints can be run. However, an arbitrary number can be declared and adhered to as a limited edition. Giclees are a way of offering affordable, high-resolution copies to collectors who desire the offered image but cannot justify the expense of purchasing an original.
